This was the second successful year of JIGYASA of our college. The first day begin with
the inaugural ceremony which was started by Prof. Venkataramani followed by Mr. Naveen Reddy and others.
Prof. Venkataramani made understand the role of technology, management and media in education industry in very simple way and spoke on various topics like positive energy, tradition to worship motherland, women empowerment etc.,

Mr. Navin Reddy the corporate trainer also awarded as a distinguish technical trainer of the year, you tuber and founder of Telusko, having 4 lacs subscription, given training to multiple companies like Accenture, L&T, InfoTech, quality kiosk, J.P. Morgan etc. shared his experiences and knowledge on :

" Technologies and Multimedia in Education "

The session started with learning technology and various concepts in technology. Hemade understand the students by a phrased
“You have to be Jack of all and Master of one”.

Sir covered many key points such as:
​
1. Explained about Block Chain, Hacking, AI and IOT.
2. " Knowledge is what you have and skill is what you show "
3. Stressed on the topic " Era of Knowledge is now combined Technology".
4. IT people don’t live in real world, they live in virtual world..

On the same day plenary sessions were organised by the department of BCA and the resource person was Mr. Tejas Hoskotti

Mr. Tejas Hoskotti the Founder of Taiijas Infotech Pvt .Ltd. He has 10+ years of experience in design and development of digital media, he had profound knowledge and experience in HTML and CSS, JavaScript, .NET, and much more. He spoke on the topic :

" Collaborative learning, Augmented reality , Virtual reality, "

His concept was doing one thing very smartly as what’s app did in
comparison of hike and other communication platforms. Later he talked about the sectors where people need to be specialized. He took students to the future giving knowledge about drones law, Billion dollar GTA 5 game and the giant feature of artificial intelligence in a
videography format.

1. Scope of Artificial Intelligence.
2. Great discoveries about PAYTM.
3. Using spin text to create new text existing text.​
The session was very interactive and informative.
After the exclusive and plenary sessions of BCA department there was Academic Prizesdistribution of BCA Department.

Simultaneously, BAMM had a session in Dome at 11.00 am on the topic “Education inMedia” The speaker was Dr. NITIN MALEKAR (Director of Gargi Genetics PVT LTD).He shared his knowledge on Education in Media, Growth & Development of Printing and Advertising, Rise of Technology, Mass Media & Education, Persuasive of Media,Influence of Social Media.
Parallel session were arranged for BMS Department on “Impact of Digitalization on Education Industry” in Dome and the speaker was Mr. Saurabh Poddar the Managing Director of Eager Beaver pre-school Day-care also the co-founder of Empurple. He shared some knowledgeable words on the topic process and strategy in opening a start-up.
Day - 2
January 23, 2019
On the second day of JIGYASA 3 different competitions which were organised by
BCA, BAMM and BMS Departments.
DEPARTMENTAL GAMES!
ANDHADHUN
(BCA)
Department of BCA organised organised the competition called “ANDHADHUN” a Blind typing competition. The student actively participated with a total of 152 participants overall from the college. The students were judged on the basis of auto generated results based on their accuracy &errors in Typing.

DRAMATO
(BMS)
BMS Department organised a group competition called “DRAMATO”. In which 14 teams participated. Miss. Kavita Nikam Assistant Professor from psychology Department was the judge of the competition. Participants were given paper cheats of different situations and they had to enact accordingly it in any form i.e. drama, skit, debate, role play, etc.
​VIDEO MAKING
(BAMM)
Department of BAMM oraganised a competition named as “VIDEO MAKING” conducted in Auditorium where MR. Ajay Bhave editor of ABP News was the judge of the competition. There were total 7 teams in the competition.
​
Later the event continued with Photography, Solo dance, Group dance,Singing, Musical drama, Drama and Fashion show. The program had a mixture of Bollywood and Hollywood Tadkas. The dancers shook the floor as they moved to swaggy tunes. The singers showed their stunning vocal skills with some all-time favourite melodies. We also had many Drama Queens with a strong social message. The different acts captured topics like “Impact of phone on youths” and “Students life”.

The final day of event JIGYASA which began with BAMM session in Dome. The speaker was Mr. Salman Sayyed (Senior Professor in Garware Institute of Mumbai University). He addressed the audience with his knowledge and experience on Education in media.

Parallely there was BMS session which was conducted in Auditorium. The speaker was Mr. Arun Mohan Sherry (Chief Academic officer of NMIMS Global Access School). He shared his experience of more than 20 years in the field of education and knowledge on E learning courses and websites managed by premier institutes. The guest gave expert tips in the area of education sector.

Valedictory Function was organized in auditorium. The chief guest for this day was Dr.ASHOK SALVE President of KSP Education Society, and Ex vice Principal of Smt. P. N. Doshi Women’s college Ghatkopar, Principal of our College Dr. ASHA MENON and the co-ordinators of the three departments. Dr. Asha Menon felicitated our honorable guest Dr. Ashok Salve and Ms. Suchita Bhovar the Co-ordinator of the BCA department felicitated our principal Dr. Asha Menon.

Valedictory speech was delivered by our Chief Guest Dr. Ashok Salve. He discussed growth of education industry from independence till now.

Prizes for the various competitions conducted by BAMM, BMS and BCA Departments were distributed to the deserving winners and participants.

Special vote of thanks was given to each and every one who made the whole event a grand success. This marked the closing of Jigyasa 2019.
